Welcome to my website!
I am originally from the Philippines and later immigrated to San Luis Obispo County, California, where my curiosity about the natural world and its unseen microbial relationships sparked an early interest in biology. I earned my B.S. in Biological Sciences (Cellular & Molecular Biology, 2022) and later my M.S. in Biological Sciences (2025) from California State University, Chico, where my graduate research examined the ecological roles of foliar fungal endophytes in leaf litter decomposition. Through this work, I developed a strong foundation in molecular biology, microbial ecology, and bioinformatics. My research focuses on understanding how microbial communities assemble in shaping ecosystem processes, and I am motivated to continue advancing microbial and environmental research through collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
